The aims

The aims of the Boskalis research & development program are:

to improve the equipment;
to improve descriptions of dredging processes with a view to better project estimates and better project quality;
to reduce the cost price per cubic meter of dredged material;
to complete projects at the lowest possible cost, fulfilling the requirements of our customers;
to fulfill our requirements, and those of our customers, in terms of high-precision dredging;
to make it possible to measure the progress and results of work using survey techniques;
to make a contribution to the training of the fleet crews by designing and managing advanced simulators for hoppers and cutters.
