The research program

Boskalis is not only concerned with its own research and development projects. We are also engaged in a research program in association with a number of leading dredging companies in the Foundation for Dredging Technology Research (SSB).The topics studied by this research alliance include:


  • the operational performance of various types of dredger in different weather conditions and seas;
  • computer models for hydraulic transport;
  • quality control for process water;
  • design methods for weak soils.
