Dredging and earthmoving remains the core activity of the Boskalis group, representing some 83% of our total turnover.
Boskalis is a leading global player in the open markets, which generate turnovers of approximately € 7-9 billion annually. Four European operators dominate these markets, accounting for some 70-80% of turnovers. Boskalis is one of these, with an estimated market share of around 20%. The remaining 20-30% of ‘free turnovers’ is represented by a wide range of smaller regional and local players.
Being one of the ‘big four’ is not enough on its own. We strive to stand apart with important points of difference, such as our innovative strength and technical capabilities, our high-tech fleet and top tier workforce and our approach to safety, environmental issues and the quality of our operations.
