Project highlights
Transport and installation Aasta Hansteen spar platform
For Statoil's Aasta Hansteen project we transported the newbuild spar hull from the yard in South Korea to the offshore discharge location in Norway. The spar is the world’s largest ever built to date.
Suez Canal expansion
With our partners we mobilized the largest dredging fleet ever from around the world consisting of 28 dredging vessels, coordinated 2,000 people with 45 nationalities, and used over 80 km of pipelines to discharge the dredged material to reclamation areas.
Veja Mate offshore wind farm installation
Record-breaking Veja Mate is an extraordinary project in every sense. Work scope included the design, procurement, manufacture, transport and installation (including scour protection) of the foundations – consisting of enormous monopiles and transition pieces – for 67 wind turbines.
Construction Açu Port
From 2011 until 2015, Boskalis was involved in the construction of one of Latin America’s largest port-industry complexes in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Boskalis dredged two huge access channels, a turning basin, an inner channel, mooring berths and constructed revetments for the breakwater and over 13 km of access roads.
