General business principles
Boskalis’ General Code of Business Conduct is based on international guidelines, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We endorse the principles of the International Labour Organization, the UN Global Compact and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
Supply chain management
Innovation and increased sustainability in the supply chain are core components of our CSR strategy. We continue to work on innovative developments together with supply chain partners, often in cross-sector partnerships. These include cleaner engines, environmentally friendly fuels, energy savings, the sustainable dismantling of our vessels, and cradle-to-cradle and recycling concepts. We apply our own Supplier Code of Conduct in the supply chain. We conduct an annual implementation scan to monitor compliance.
The Board of Management is responsible for the company’s CSR policy and is supported in this role by two task forces: the Energy Management Task Force and the Eco-Engineering Task Force. The CSR Report is reviewed by Boskalis’ Board of Management, and its contents are discussed in their entirety with the Supervisory Board.
