Llanelli Sand has been based at its Burry Port premises since 1989. At this site, it stockpiles and processes marine sand that has been dredged using specialised trailer suction hopper dredgers. Sand is dredged in the Bristol Channel from Crown Estate marine aggregate Licence Area 476, Nobel Banks. This modern concession provides a range of high quality sands. All dredging is closely monitored by the Welsh Government, its scientific advisors and the Crown Estate. In addition to providing sand to the construction industry other aggregates are brought into the site and processed and sold. The company has invested significantly in its bagging operations and provides a wide range of bagged products to builders merchants
