Boskalis Australia Pty Ltd is a subsidiary of Boskalis, responsible for operations across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. Boskalis has a long-standing presence in the region, having successfully executed projects for over 65 years. The company initially operated under the name Westminster Dredging, later becoming WestHam Dredging Company. In 2003, Boskalis Australia Pty Ltd was formally established, with its headquarters now located in Perth, Western Australia.

Over the years, Boskalis Australia has delivered numerous landmark projects. These include the Melbourne Channel Deepening Project, which involved dredging hard rock using a trailing suction hopper dredger equipped with a unique ripper draghead, and the Gorgon Barrow Island LNG Project, where works were carried out within a Class A nature reserve. The latter required strict adherence to exceptionally rigorous environmental and biosecurity standards to ensure the highest level of protection for the island’s sensitive ecosystem.
