L10 -C -D & -G Decommissioning

Neptune Energy Netherlands B.V. (Neptune) has awarded Boskalis the contract for the removal, transport and load-in of three platforms. These platforms are located in the Dutch North Sea,<br />approximately 90 km west of Terschelling.

The platforms are situated in the L10 field and are named L10-C, L10-D and L10-G. Water depth at the various locations is approximately 26 m. The topsides weighed around 500 tons and the jackets approximately 600 tons. Contractor scope of work is the removal, transport to the dismantling site at Flushing and subsequently offloading to the quayside of three offshore platforms.

During the project execution the world faced the COVID-19 pandemic. With combat plans in hand the project was safely executed safeguarding the health of the complete crew.

Subsea pipeline repair, Bukom SBM

The Shell Bukom Refinery on Bukom Island imports the bulk of its crude oil feedstock through a Single Buoy Mooring (SBM) situated approximately 5.2 km from the island in the deeper water necessary to accommodate Very Large Crude Carriers.

Mooring installation and hook-up, OSX3

OGX - OSX is a Brazilian oil and gas company owning and operating several floating facilities in Brazil. MODEC secured the FPSO purchase contract and subsequently awarded Boskalis the Mooring Installation & Hook-up contract. The FPSO had to be installed in the Tubarão Martelo Field, located in the Campos Basin, Brazil, in 105 meters water depth.

Dredging, Sealine COEFR

The Crude Oil Export Facility Reconstruction (COEFR) Project aims to stabilize and expand Iraq’s crude oil export capacity, a lifeline of the Iraqi economy, by constructing a pipeline connecting crude oil storage facilities to the offshore crude oil export terminal in Fao, Basrah in Southern Iraq. The Project involves the development of two offshore valve station platforms, a 75 kilometer 48” oil pipeline and a Single Point Mooring system.

Refurbishment water station, Olero Creek

In November 2010 Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) awarded the contract to refurbish this facility to Saipem Contracting Nigeria Limited (SCNL) with Nigerian Westminster Dredging and Marine Limited (NWDM) as subcontractor. The Olero Creek Restoration Project (OCR) is a 70 million US$ construction and commissioning subcontract. The scope of work is the refurbishment and reinstatement of the North Water Station (NWS) and its hook up to the interconnecting piping at Olero Creek.

Provision and installation of submarine fiber optic cable, Strait of Magellan

In September 2011 Boskalis was awarded a contract worth approximately EUR 30 million to provide and install a submarine fiber optic cable across the Strait of Magellan, Argentina. The contract was awarded by the state-owned corporation AR-SAT (Empresa Argentina de Soluciones Satelitales S.A.).

Offshore wind farm, LINCS

SMIT Transport is transporting the wind turbine foundations for the new Lincs Offshore Windfarm, situated off Great Yarmouth, UK. When completed, the windfarm will consist of 75 turbines capable of generating sufficient power to meet the annual demand of some 200,000 households.
